Pradhan claims BJP victory in State

Published on:

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would come to power in Odisha in the coming elections.

Pradhan’s statement here came in the wake up of a recent India Today survey claiming that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik still enjoys top position in terms of popularity.

Patnaik left behind him other contending leaders in the survey. While the BJD supremo scored a hefty 59 per cent of votes Pradhan stood second with 22 per cent and State Congress president Niranjan Patnaik got a mere 5 per cent of votes in his favour in the survey.

“The survey claims the BJD will win more Assembly seats while the BJP will get maximum votes for Lok Sabha seats. Same survey claims people in Odisha have voted more for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance,” said Pradhan.

Pradhan further stated that the BJP under the leadership of Modi would come to power in Odisha in the next elections.

“The writing s on the wall as youths, women and others in Odisha will vote in favour of the BJP,” Pradhan added.
