Wife of Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chief Pradeep Sethy, who was arrested over three years ago in connection with the multi-crore rupee chit fund scam in the State, appeared before CBI sleuths here at the Central investigating agency’s office.
However, Kabita Sethy did not reveal anything to the media after coming out of the CBI office after interrogation.
The CBI sleuths, including the Investigating Officer (IO) of the AT scam, interrogated her about the money trail aspects, sources said.
Pradeep Sethy has been in the Jharpada Special Jail here after being nabbed by the CID of the Crime Branch, which had initially probed the chit fund scam before the CBI took over the investigation in 2014 following a Supreme Court order.
The tainted money collection company AT Group is accused of duping lakhs of gullible investors of crores of rupees. The CBI has already submitted chargesheets against Sethy, ruling BJD MlA Pravat Tripathy, and many others for their alleged complicity in the scam.
