The Mechanised Coal Handling Plant (MCHP) of the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) on Saturday loaded thermal coal of 86,896 MT for the Andhra Pradesh Power Development Corporation (APPDCl) to a Panamax vessel, ‘MV Indus Fortune’ chartered by the Bothra Shipping Services Pvt ltd, surpassing all previous records.
This quantity was loaded using two ship loaders in a record time of 17:51 hours and 16 hours, i.e., berthing to de-berthing and clearance to completion thereby achieving the record productivity of 1,16,835 TPD and 1,30,344 TPD, respectively.
