The nationwide measles and rubella (German measles) vaccination campaign was held here on Monday to prevent and eliminate these viral diseases.
Paradip Port Trust (PPT) Chairman Rinkesh Roy flagged off a walkathon as part of the activities with participation of students of the PPT High School and members of the Paradip Saksharata Samiti which covered the route from the PPT Hospital to the “V” Point KG School in the presence of PPT Deputy Chairman N Vaiyapuri and Heads of the Departments and ladies’ Club president Subhalaxmi Roy.
The ladies’ Club president presented the prizes to the winners of the elocution competition.
The PPT Chairman inaugurated the administration of vaccine to the children in the “V” School premises. The Paradip CHC Medical Officer appealed for cooperation from everyone to make the programme a success for eliminating the viral diseases.
