Paradip Port Trust (PPT) chairman Sudhanshu Shekhara Mishra on Tuesday visited the Paradip Badapadia market complex along with Paradip Banik Sangh president Santosh Kumar Pattanaik for inspection and study of various problems of the business community.
Mishra received first-hand information on the repairs of shopping units, drainage system and development of market site. He inspected the vegetable and fish market areas along with Pattanaik and other office-bearers of the merchant association and assured of facilities like drinking water, urinals and draining of rainwater.
The PPT chairman along with PPT Secretary SC Mohapatra and heads of departments held a meeting with PPT Trustee Antaryami Pattanaik, Rotarian Pravat Acharya, Prahallad Das, Anadi Parida, Sarat Sahoo, Debabrata Sahoo and many traders. He assured that very soon a market complex would be developed in the port town.
The PPT Chairman also visited various residential colonies and PPT prohibited area to take stock of the situation arising out of the heavy rains during last several days.
