The first executive body meeting of the Ersama Industrial labour Association working at the Paradeep Phosphate limited (PPl) was held here last week. It may be stated that over 500 PPl employees had left their previous association and joined the Bapi Sarkhel-led labour association in October.
The meeting was held with 50 executive members from the 500 employees. Sarkhel called upon the workers to work united and act strongly to against any anti-labour practice. He affirmed to continue his efforts for employees’ rights and economic development of their families. He also advised the workers to maintain peace and harmony in the organisation. If any unfair activity is noticed in the company, it would be strongly opposed, Sarkhel added. Among others, labour leaders Santosh Swain, Golekh Das, Pratap Hajari, Braja Sahoo and Akshay Nayak were present at the meeting.
