The wholesale prices for potato and onion have been fixed at Rs1,500 to Rs1,600 and Rs1,000 to Rs1100 per quintal, respectively.
Accordingly, the retail price of potato per kg will be Rs19 to Rs20 while the onion will be sold at Rs14 to Rs15 in the open market.
The differences between the wholesale and retail prices of both potato and onion would be Rs3.50 and Rs4.50, respectively, said a circular from the Information and Public Relation Department.
The consumers have been advised to purchase both the items at the fixed prices.
