Some people seem not to have taken easy of the absence of local MP and Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi in his constituency during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
It is so understood from the fact that some posters with mentions of “missing” of the Minister were found at various places in the district on Sunday. Many of them were also found pasted on walls in different streets in the town there.
In one of the posters, it was written: “Our MP is missing. Please help us to find him – Balasore people.”
At another place, a poster read, “He has not been seen in Balasore since long. Help us to find him.”
In his reaction, Sarangi admitted that he was not present in his Parliamentary constituency during the lockdown period. However, he claimed that he was monitoring everything staying afar.
“Though I am not physically present in Baleswar town, my team is working its level best to bring back migrant workers from other States during lockdown. I am in constant touch with the district administration in this regard,” said the Minister.
However, he denied giving any statement on people who have allegedly put up posters claiming him as missing in the town.
