A poster has been put up directly in the name of Padmapur MLA Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha, pointing a finger at the MLA's style of
functioning.
In the Mao-affected Padmapur Sub-division of Bargarh district, while public discontentment is at all time high due to half-hearted implementation of Government schemes and massive corruption, the farmers are left in the lurch due to the negligence in agriculture and nonpayment of crop insurance.
While it is not clear who put up the poster, the police had started an investigation in this regard. The posters were spotted at the Sub Office after it opened following a two-day Nuankhai vacation. On the contrary, the incident has now become a cause for concern as conscious denizens are arguing that what has been written in the poster is true.
In the poster, the Padmapur MLA has been asked to answer what he has done for the development of the area. The Bargarh-Nuapada Railway, second KV and other projects which have been a non-starter have also mentioned in the poster. The forcible grabbing of land of the tribals, prosecution of the innocent poor in court, arbitrary style of functioning of the BJD leaders, irregularities in allotment of houses under housing schemes, price rise and unfair police practices were also mentioned.
