The AMOFOI (Anti-caste Marriage and One-child Family Organisation of India) and the FPI (Freethought Party of India) celebrated the World Population Day here on Tuesday.
AMOFOI founder secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire criticised the failure of political leaders for not paying the necessary attention to growth population problem which has been growing worldwide at the rate of 10 crore for every 14 months.
He lamented that no leader worth the name has so far clearly stated that the key to the solution of the problem of global population really lies in a “Scheme of One-Child Family”.
Merely saying “Small Family is Happy Family” is not at all enough, he added.
Ramchandra insisted that each country should fix the optimum number of people or population that it can have to provide suitable accommodation, good food, health and education to one and all under the thematic slogan “Small Population is Happy Population”.
