Poor SBI ATM service hits Umarkote customers

Published on:

Though the SBI has opened two ATM counters in the town here, they remain out of order most of the times. Customers face disappointment as at times both the counters are found closed without notice. Besides, the counters often don’t have adequate stocks.

The SBI is considered as the most customer-friendly bank, but it is the opposite here. This town bustles with business activities, besides a number of adjacent towns too depend upon the bank’s service here. The retired service personnel also depend on the SBI for their pension. But the performance of the bank seems to be utterly poor.

“It is high time the SBI installed more ATM counters and extended good customer service in the larger public interest,” said Umarkote Consumers’ Association president Dhirain Malik.
