A section of students of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Monday ransacked the institute’s canteen alleging poor food quality. Around 30 students of the premier institute suddenly barged into the canteen in the morning and broke the windows and doors. They also attacked canteen employees numbering 15 and security guards alleging that low standard foods are being served to them.
“They beat us mercilessly and broke the glass windows of the canteen. We are just cooks and if they have some problem they should consult the canteen owner despite attacking us,” said a cook. The students fled from the spot before the arrival of the police. No arrest has been made as yet.
