The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday questioned for hours Odia actor Sritam Das for his alleged links with the Star Consultancy chit fund company chief Triveni Mohanty.
It is alleged that Mohanty used chit fund money to produce the Odia film Tu Tha Mu Jauchi Rusi. Das was the director and actor of the film which was produced by Mohanty, who has currently gone into hiding.
The investigating agency is interrogating 15 persons in connection with the Star Consultancy chit fund case in which fraud to the tune of Rs 200 crore is alleged to have been committed.
In another development, Seashore Group CMD Prasant Dash was interrogated by the CBI here on the day.
On Monday, the CBI had quizzed former IAS officer Sangram Keshari Ray for almost three hours in connection with the Seashore chit fund scam.
The Central investigating agency had summoned Ray and another bureaucrat, Parag Gupta, to its office on Sunday.
