A four-member team of State level expert appraisal committee of the State Pollution Control Board visited the under-construction Kalinga Calciner plant here last week and reviewed various pollution control aspects of the plant, which is scheduled to be commissioned in March.
However, a few persons claiming to be the residents of neighbouring areas protested before the team while another group demanded an early commissioning of the factory.
Sources said the company has already installed all modern equipments of pollution control under the guidance of the State Pollution Control Board and guaranteed that there would be no pollution.
