In order to supervise the case of dowry torture lodged by former Minister Raghunath Mohanty’s daughter-in-law Barsa Swony Choudhary, a two-member team of the State Human Rights Protection Cell headed by an Additional Superintendent of Police rank officer visited her parental house at Karanjia on Saturday.
Additional SP Pramod Mohanty and Investigating officer Subal Kar recorded the statement of concerned, including Barsa’s relatives and neighbours in her parents’house.
Barsa in her FIR of dowry atrocities, apart from levelling allegation against her husband Rajashree Mohanty, also mentioned the names of four other accused including her farther-in-law Raghunath Mohanty.
