The Commissionerate Police are contemplating to take the three accused who were arrested on Saturday in connection with the sensational murder of a doctor couple at Sailashree Vihar here, on a three-day remand for further interrogation.
“We will seek a three-day remand in order extract more truths about the crime,” said Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma.
The police have, meanwhile, intensified their effort to know the whereabouts of the two absconding accused to nab them.
The absconders are Tikina Behera, who had been working as a maid at the doctor couple’s home for two years, and her husband Jaban Naik.
Notably, a Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police arrested Kishore Behera (44) alias Timpa, Md. Kamal Khan alias Muna (22), and a woman, Mini, who were hiding in Brahmapur town on Saturday. Five persons were directly involved in the ghastly murder with loot being the prime motive behind it.
Retired doctor couple Prafulla Mishra and his wife Sushama Mishra were killed at their residence on November 15.
