Traffic and security arrangements have been bolstered before the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP national leaders to attend the party’s two-day national executive meeting here on Saturday and Sunday.
The Commissionerate police’s advisory told the residents to avoid travelling throughout the day on the roads between the airport and AG Square, AG and Raj Bhavan and Raj Bhavan and Janata Maidan.
The police asked airport-bound passengers to take the Old Airport route instead of the new one since there would be congestion between Soor Company Chhak and Golei Chhak near the airport.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to provide foolproof security cover to the PM during his tour. The PM is expected to arrive here at 3:30 pm on Saturday and go to the Raj Bhavan in a carcade of 200 vehicles. After spending some time at the Raj Bhavan, he would directly move to the Janata Maidan to attend the party’s national executive meet. He would spend the night at the Raj Bhavan. According the itinerary, he would visit the lord lingaraj Temple on Sunday morning.
