The Commissionerate police, which recently arrested several members of the youth gang ‘Koi Bhai Nahi’ (KBN), produced five of them in a court in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
Later, they were taken on remand by the cops for further investigations after the court’s permission.
However, 20 members of the gang which brazenly brandished guns and swords openly and also resorted to celebratory firing and uploaded the videos on social media, are still at large.
The police are yet to trace the gang’s leader Bubu Jena, whose house they had raided in the Gandamunda area. Bubu’s mother has also appealed his son to surrender.
Earlier Bhubaneswar DCP had said that seven members of the gang have been arrested and raids carried out to seize the weapons displayed by the gang. During the raids and searches, the cops have recovered some sharp weapons but no firearms have been recovered so far.
