The Sundargarh police recovered decomposed body of a four-year-old girl from an under construction house on Tuesday night who had allegedly been abducted in front her mother at her house five days ago.
The police have conducted post mortem of the deceased girl on Wednesday and were interrogating a suspected person. The police suspect that the girl might have been raped and killed. Deceased Chotu Oram was abducted on Friday night last in front of her mother laxmi Oram at Dengibadi Oram para under Town police station. At that time, laxmi’s other three children had gone to their neighbourer’s house to watch television. At around 10 pm, an unidentified miscreant suddenly barged into her house and forcibly lifted Chotu. laxmi ran behind that person to rescue her daughter, but in vain.
On Saturday morning, laxmi had lodged an FIR in the Town police station. Police after registering a kidnapping case had started searching for her. On Tuesday night, the police recovered the body near a rice mill at Dengibadi.
“We are waiting for post mortem report. We are interrogating a suspected person in this case,” said SP Nikhil Kanoria.
