Police are likely to cancel the firearms licence of Orissa Stevedores limited (OSl) MD Mahimananda Mishra as he has been named in an FIR pertaining to a murder case at Paradip.

According to reports, the Jagatsinghpur police have approached the Twin City Commissionerate police seeking cancellation of the firearm licences of Mahimananda Mishra and his son Charchit Mishra.

Over a fortnight ago, the Jagatsinghpur police had issued a lookout Circular against Mahima Mishra and other accused in connection with the murder of Seaways Group general manager Mahendra Kumar Swain on October 26.

On November 10, the police sealed the bank account of the OSl and the personal accounts of company executive director Basant Bal, operation manager Subash Acharya and senior manager Debi Tripathy.
