Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is likely to come here next week to hold talks with his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik on the Polavaram issue to end the inter-State dispute through mutual talks, sources said.
However, the State Government here is yet to confirm Naidu’s visit. Sources added that an elated Naidu, armed with Union Government’s green signal for the controversial project, has initiated a move to cajole the Chief Ministers of Odisha and Chhattisgarh, which are opposing the project alleging that many tribals-dominated parts of the two States would be submerged because of the project. Odisha has been opposing the project and moved the Supreme Court against it.
