A man was electrocuted after coming in contact with a live electric wire laid by him for poaching activity at a forest near Rodasinga village under the Purunakote police limits in Angul district on Wednesday evening.
The deceased, identified as Umakant Pradhan (55) of the village, had gone to forest for hunting wild animals and laid electric wire for purpose. As he didn’t return home till Thursday morning, his family members went to spot and saw him lying dead. On being informed, police and forest officials reached place and initiated an investigation.
