In view of the upcoming by-polls, the BJP has planned to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme reach people in all 270 booths of the Bijepur Assembly constituency in Bargarh district from December 31.
“Party activists will help people to listen to the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat through radios on last Sunday of each month. Besides, they would make Bijepur aware of various schemes of the Union Government and interact with them about problems of their respective localities,” said party’s State vice president Sameer Mohanty at a Press conference here.
Mohanty further informed that BJP State president Basant Panda, BJP legislature Party leader KV Singh Deo, Union Ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, party MlAs and office-bearers of all party wings would join people to listen to the ‘Man Ki Baat’ programme. The leaders would hold apprise people how they have been deprived of their rights during the Naveen Patnaik Government’s 18 years of rule.
“The Chief Minister has been hoodwinking people of Bijepur by making false promises since death of MlA Subal Sahu. It is disappointing that no funds were allocated in the Supplementary Budget for the irrigation project though the Government named it after Gangadhar Meher,” Mohanty alleged.
Among others, BJP State secretary lekhashree Samantsinghar and spokesperson Sajjan Sharma were present.
