Here’s disappointing news for people of Jharsuguda as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is schedule to visit Balangir on January 15 (Tuesday), will not arrive at the recently-inaugurated Veer Surdendra Sai Airport at Jharsuguda as per a changed schedule.
The schedule of his journey was changed on Saturday evening as per which he land at Raipur in Chhattisgarh and head for Balangir from there.
The entire Jharsuguda district administration was prepared for the PM visit to Odisha.
However, the change in the schedule has brought a big disappointment for the people of Jharsuguda.
As per the previous schedule, Modi was to reach Jharsuguda airport on Jan 15 and proceed to Balangir in a chopper. He would have been the first VVIP to land at the VSS Airport just four months after inauguration of the airport under UDAN scheme.
The Balangir visit will be Modi’s third visit to Odisha within three weeks. He is scheduled to launch a slew of projects worth Rs 1,545 crore in Balangir.
