Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Odisha on May 26 on the occasion of completion of four years of the BJP Government at Centre, informed BJP State in-charge Arun Singh here on Saturday.

“It is a great thing for us that PM Modi is visiting Odisha on completion of four years of the Government to address people here and to highlight the Centre’s achievements during his rule,” Singh told mediapersons.

Modi would attend a mega public rally to be held at the Baliyatra ground in Cuttack during his one-day visit to Odisha, said BJP State president Basant Panda at the party’s State executive meeting.

According to reports, a team of senior BJP leaders visited the Cuttack Baliyatra ground late on Friday night ahead of Modi’s public meeting.

Modi’s scheduled visit is considered as the BJP’s first notable endeavour to swing Odisha voters’ mood prior to the general elections in 2019.

Arun Singh asserted that the “mission of 120+ (Assembly seats)” in Odisha set by BJP national president Amit Shah would be “definitely accomplished”.

Notably, Modi after becoming Prime Minister has earlier visited Rourkela, Bargarh, Paradip and Baleswar.
