Plus Two results likely to be delayed

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Saturday said publication of Plus Two examination results is likely to get delayed this year.

CHSE Chairman Amarendra Pattnaik said that since almost 50 per cent teachers have not joined the evaluation of Plus Two answer sheets, publication of the results is likely to get delayed.

“Total 5,800 teachers were asked to join the evaluation process this year. But, 50 per cent of them have not joined yet. In comparison to last year, around 5,000 less papers have so far been evaluated.”

Pattnaik further said that action will be taken against teachers not taking part in the evaluation process.

“Action will be initiated against teachers if they do not join the evaluation duty on Sunday. The Controller of Examinations has been instructed to direct supervisors of all evaluation centres to file FIR against absentee teachers. No reasons barring health grounds would be accepted for remaining absent,” he added.
