A state of fear has gripped the bordering areas under Nuagaon and Kuarmunda block in Sundargarh district since Friday as posters belonging to outlawed militant PlFI group were found pasted at different places in these areas.
Source said a poster pasted on a wall in Kokerama GP along the Biramitrapur-Nuagaon Road was carrying messages like ‘Veer Saheed Amar Rahe’, ‘Duniaki Kissan Mazdoor Ek Ho’, ‘Police Prasasana Murdabad’, ‘Punjibadi Samrajyabadi Byabastha Byartha Kara’, ‘Janabadi Byabastha Kayam Kara’ and ‘lal Salam’. Similar posters were also seen in the Karadega and Olhani areas.
Sources said people, particularly businessmen of Purunapani, Hatibari and Nuagaon ares are in fear. Even certain businessmen have stopped sending materials to Jharkhand in their vehicles. Some posters were also seen near the Chaina Town lane of Biramitrapur and the Jambahal Durga Mandap under Raibaga PS. The police have seized the posters and conducted a high-level meeting under the leadership of Biramitrapur SDPO Amarendra Rana.
It may be noted that some miscreants had on Thursday night hurled bomb at the house of kiln owner Pitambara Sahu at Tarabha under Jharkhand’s Baunsjore police station bordering Biramitrapur. SDPO Rana said police are examining the authenticity of the posters and keeping tight vigil on the movement of the ultras to avoid any eventuality.
