Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Union HRD Minister Smruti Irani for 100 seats in BEd course at the Panchayat College here.
A two-member delegation of the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) earlier had paid a two-day visit to the college and expressed satisfaction with the various parameters of the college.
It had recommended for starting BEd course with 50 seats in the college from the 2016-17 academic session.
State BJP vice president Ashwini Sarangi, however, had raised the issue of increasing the seat number from 50 to 100.
