State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Sanjay Dasburma visited Phulbani and held a review meeting there regarding water supply, harvest collection and employment programme.
As per information of CSO Bhagaban Prasad Das, Kandhamal achieved 100 per cent in food security. Das Burma asked whether the tokens were given to the farmers properly for the purchase of paddy.Kandhamal Collector Dr Brunda D said almost all labourers had been included in the Food Security Act but the internal system was disturbing the food distribution system. Regarding water supply, it was informed that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had given a direction to complete all projects by 2022 and had sanctioned Rs 11,000 crore in the Budget. It was informed that project worth Rs 8,000 crore had already been tendered.
Das Burma advised to finish the tender process of four other mega projects till February and send it to the Cabinet for approval.In the review meeting Youth Welfare Board working president Bijaya Kumar Nayak was present, besides officials and local representatives.
