The demand for setting up of a planetarium mounted at the 113th birth anniversary celebration of noted astrologer Pandit Baikoli Mohapatra held at Khallikote in Ganjam district on Wednesday.
Chief guest, MLA Suryamani Baidya said she would take up the issue with the Chief Minister soon. DMT Principal Ahuti Baral said the Government should consider the proposal as Mohapatra contributed a lot in the field of astrological literature.
The speakers expressed unhappiness over the delay in installation of a statue of Mohapatra despite repeated demands. Baikoli Smruti Parishad president Purnachandra Rath presided over the meeting.
Among others, Parishad secretary Jagdish Chandra Pal NAC Executive Officer Ramachandra Mishra block chairman representative Ratnakar Sahoo, ZP member Gangadhar Khuntia, youth leaders Daitari Behera and Dayanti Sahoo were present.
