Former Pipili MLA and Congress candidate for the seat this time Judhistir Samantaray on Wednesday pulled out of fray and levelled serious allegations against Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik.
The matter came to light after a video showing Samantaray making such allegations while addressing his supporters went viral.
Though Samantaray was nominated for the seat, he expressed his displeasure citing delay in announcement of his candidature.
“I will return the party ticket and not contest in this election,” he .said.
He added that he would not join any other party as well as not contest as an Independent candidate.
