A book ‘Inclusive Development of Odisha: Prospects and Changes’ was released here on Friday. The book is written by social activist, journalist and The Pioneer columnist Manas Jena.  The book consists of economic, governance and social inclusion. It has tried to compare Odisha’s development with other developed States like Kerala’s development, Jena informed.

Former Finance Minister Panchan Kanungo said the book is a clear cut message of inclusion in every sphere and there should be a debate at the national level on it. Senior scribe of The Hindu Prafula Das said the book should be translated into vernacular languages for its message to reach the masses. Former MP Mohan Jena said the book highlights the problems in Odisha which can be highlighted outside Odisha. He opined that without inclusive growth the growth of Odisha is not possible. Attending the book release function, Professor Mallich opined that one can write many things but there should be a platform for it. He thanked the Resident Editor of The Pioneer for giving the author an opportunity to write on the problems for over a period of two years on the poor and the downtrodden.
