As the campaign for election getting nearer a war of words between candidate Pinaki Misra and Sambit Patra over the former’s alleged nonperformance in the Parliament has reached its peak.
While Misra has countered the accusation that Patra now- a-days is sitting in the ‘Godi’ channel instead of Modi channel, the surgeon-turned-national spokesperson of BJP reacted by saying that ‘no benefit to debate now as the MP has lost chances in the Parliament.’
“The MP was given chance to debate in the Parliament but he did not perform. What benefit to debate here now,” said Patra after he was challenged by Misra for a debate. Retorting to the comment, Misra said the BJP candidate is having a track record of sitting in Godi channel for debate instead of Modi channel. So the saffron incumbent does not know what was asked in the Parliament. “His (Sambit’) track record now a day is sitting in, which is called in Delhi ‘Godi channel’ not Modi channel, and debating where anchors don’t ask question. So he does not know what I have asked in the Parliament,” said Misra to a television channel when asked about his reaction on the charge by the BJP rival.
This came on the heels of campaign in Puri Parliamentary seat where BJP debutant Patra is facing the three-time MP Misra.
