Educational institutions in Western countries mandatorily teach Philosophy as it is a primary requisite for students to achieve success in any subject of learning. Philosophy and moral education make life glorified and put it in the path of success. All these reform the society and uplift the social life.
Noted speakers viewed this at the inaugural ceremony of annual convention of the Nikhil Utkal Darshan Parishad in the premises of Jayadev College of Education and Technology, Naharkanta on the city outskirts.
The programme presided over by Prof Prafulla Kumar Mohapatra was graced by Odisha Skill Development Authority Chairman Dr Subrat Bagchi. Prof Jayanti Jagdev, Princilal Dr Jyotsnarani Kuanar, Parishad vice-president Prof Saroj Kumar Mohanty graced as guests. Prof Sharat Chandra Panigrahi read out the annuar report.
After inaugural ceremony, Dr Sachchindra Roul delivered Ratnakar Pati Smarai Geeta lecture.
lecturers in Philosophy from within and outside Odisha and researchers attended the meeting. The two-day programme concluded on Monday evening.
