'PG admissions to continue in Khallikote College'

Published on:

Post-graduate seats in the Khallikote (autonomous) College have not been divested to the Khallikote University and admissions for all PG seats in the college would continue this academic year, 2017-18, informed university Vice-Chancellor Manmatha Padhy here on Saturday.

“All the 19 PG Departments are active in the Khallikote College. The university has only been entrusted the responsibility of holding admission process for the departmentsose seats,” the VC stated this in a clarification to a rumour that all PG seats have been divested to the university.

He further informed that the Higher Education Department has given the admission charge to the university through a letter dated June 5, 2017.

However, the VC stated that he would write soon to the Government seeking clarification about the admission process again.

“The State Government is making all efforts to uphold the heritage of age-old Khallikote College. Hence, all stakeholders should extend support in this regard,” said Padhy.

Registrar-in-charge Pratap Chandra Pradhan was present.
