To reach out to its subscribers, the Employees’ Provident Fund Orgnaisation (EPFO) in collaboration with the Vedanta, Jharsuguda organised a camp, ‘PF at your doorstep/PF Aapke Dwaar’, on Monday.
Many employees and employers in and around Jharsuguda attended the programme presided over by Regional PF Commissioner, Rourkela Vijay Kumar. In his speech, Kumar stressed the role of employers for creating awareness among the employees for availing various benefits extended by the EPFO.
Vedanta ltd vice president and HR head Dr Rajeev Nayan said EPFO services have improved a lot in the recent past and employees are getting much faster services.
The camp focused on familiarising PF subscribers with the Universal Account Number (UAN) and the various benefits that are made available to them through the UAN.
EPFO technical personnel GC Patra and lokashis Rana demonstrated other EPFO service initiatives followed by an interactive session with PF subscribers. Major employer representatives of the MSP Metallics limited, lift and Shift, Seven Star Steels, Balaji Engicon, Concast and Thakur Prasad shared their views.
Among others, EPFO Enforcement officers AK Jena and PK Maharana were present.
