In yet another incident of the deteriorating law and order situation in the area, three unidentified miscreants looted cash of Rs 70,000 from a petrol pump in Balanga at gunpoint on Monday night.
As per sources, three miscreants came to the petrol pump by a black Pulsar bike armed with lethal weapons and gun and forcibly entered the office and attacked manager Salal Uddin with swords. Later, they looted the cash and fled from the spot.
The injured manager was rushed to the Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. Pipili SDPO Debadutta Baral and the Balanga police rushed to the spot.
It might be mentioned that some days before, three miscreants had looted cash of Rs 1.5 lakh from the same petrol pump.
