In a major development in the Rayagada teacher’s murder case, DG of Police Prakash Mishra said that the names of the persons uttered by deceased Tikiri UP School teacher Itishree Pradhan during her dying declaration would be called for interrogation.

In his statement, Mishra said the police did not neglect to take steps in the case. The police had issued warrant against the prime accused Netrananda Dandasena and had also launched a manhunt to nab him. “The teacher had informed about her plight to many including me. We have taken appropriate steps according to the provision of law,” he added.

Notably, before breathing her last at a hospital in Visakhapatnam on November 1 last, besides Dandasena, Itishree had pointed finger at the Chief Minister, many ruling BJD politicians, the Rayagada district administration and police, holding them responsible for her tragedy.
