The State Government on Tuesday wanted that people-oriented schemes and projects be taken up by the Centre.
Planning Department Secretary DN Gupta said this while addressing a workshop on planning and management organised by the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation with the active support from Planning Department here.
Gupta stressed on the importance of improved project management capabilities and application of better project management practices in all the three sectors of Central and State PSUs and the private sector. The PSUs execute a large number of projects.
Director of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation DK Ojha exhorted the participants to become better mangers so that projects are implemented successfully without cost overruns and within stipulated time frame. Among others, Additional Secretary of the department AK Mishra was present.
