The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) will organise its coordination panel meeting on February 21 ahead of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the State.
The coordination panel of the PCC comprises senior party leaders of the State. The PCC usually holds it to take consultations of such leaders before its Central leader visits the State or ahead of an important meeting, according to party sources.
Meanwhile, senior party leader lalatendu (lulu) Bidyadhar Mohapatra, who recently formed a lulu Sena on his birthday, has reacted to the proposal of holding the committee meeting.
“Though late, the PCC president has convened the meeting after one and a half years (since he assumed office). I will attend the meeting,” he said.
Another senior leader Srikant Jena said the coordination meeting is not convened at the time of lack of coordination but when a need is felt.
