A Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) delegation led by PCC president Niranjan Patnaik will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in New Delhi on Friday to urge them to declare Odisha as a Special Category State.
PCC general secretary Aryakumar Jnanendra on Thursday said in a Press release that the delegation would submit a memorandum in this regard to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister.
It may be mentioned that a PCC team headed by Patnaik had met President Pranab Mukherjee during his visit here on Wednesday and handed over a similar memorandum to him.
