OPCC working president and former MP Pradeep Majhi and AICC secretary Anil Chaudhury on Tuesday visited Ganjam district to take stock of the party organisation in the district and held discussions with party workers for strengthening it.
Majhi urged the party workers to work together for strengthening the party in the district under the leadership of new OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik.
He also said the candidates from different constituencies would be selected well ahead of the 2019 elections and their names would be announced.
Anil Chaudhury strongly asserted that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the party would come to power again at the Centre and in the State.
Among others, former Assembly Speaker Chintamani Dyan Samantara, former MlA Dr Trinath Behera, Sibaram Patro, Dipak Patnaik, Pramod Jena, PCC secretary Rajendra Jena, Pitabas Panda and Biswajit Patro were present.
