The relief work is being carried out in full swing in the Phailin and flood-affected districts of the State by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), party sources said.
PCC President Jayadev Jena is personally monitoring the relief distribution work. Medical teams have also been dispatched to various vulnerable areas in coordination with district headquarters hospitals. The Congress leaders and workers are voluntarily contributing to the PCC Relief Fund for the victims. “This is an humble attempt by us before the AICC relief is received,” said a Congressman.
Social media department of the party, headed by its chairman Dr Abhinna Hota along with members Abhisekh Mahanand, Akash Bhuyan, Sanjay Tripathy, Sanjay Jena, Santanu Sahu, Saptagiri Ulaka, Dr Sasmit Patra and Sudhansu Mohanty handed over the donation amount to the PCC chief in the presence of leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh, PCC Relief Committee chairman Kishore Patel and other senior Congress leaders.
