The Patanjali Yogpeeth is mulling to set up an Acharyakulam (school based on Vedic-cum-modern education) and a Yoga University in Odisha, said Swami Ramdev here on Wednesday.
“An Acharyakulam will be set up in Odisha by the Patanjali Yogpeeth within one to two years. We will also establish a Yoga University here in the future,” said Ramdev, who arrived here to attend a convention of Patanjali distributors.
“Yoga should be introduced in school curriculum, and the Patanjali Yogpeeth will take initiative in this regard,” he added.
Replying to queries of mediapersons, the yoga guru said both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik should work in tandem towards all-round development of the State.
However, in his reaction to Ramdev’s statement on the desirability of PM-CM cooperation, Minister Damodar Rout said the former should better do politics than yoga.
