Customs officials recovered 400 grams of gold concealed in the body cavity of a passenger at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here on Friday.The passenger, identified as Jainulabdeen travelling to Chennai, was frisked by the officials. As his unusual movements caused suspicion, he was questioned by the officials, following which he confessed to carrying the gold.
Four pieces of rectangular-shaped gold worth around Rs 20 lakh concealed in his body cavity were ejected. The passenger was de-boarded and detained for further necessary action.
