The Silpanchal Passenger Halt Sangram Samiti has decided to launch agitation and a Jail Bharo Andolan on October 23.
The Samiti has been demanding a passenger halt in the Brahmapur industrial area since long time. It would also hold Rail Roko on October 23.
“We will hold the strike in five phrases. People would be divided in five groups for the purpose. About 1,000 members would join the stir,” said Samiti convener Uma Charan Nayak at a Press meet here.
Samiti president Panchanan Choudhry and spokesperson l Sudam Das would coordinate the programme, informed Samiti member Brundaban Sabat.
Joint secretary Bhagya Moharana, Deputy Mayor Jyotsna Nayak and Mahan Sangh president Sushant Kumar Sabat were present at the Press meet, among others.
