Political parties in Nuapada district have started their panchayat election propaganda by conducting meetings and camps in different parts of the district.
The BJP has already conducted five meetings in last one week in three blocks after notification by the State Election Commission.
“We are conducting party workers’ meetings to orient them on the achievements of the BJP and failures of the BJD so that they could influence voters during,” said a BJP leader. BJP State president Basant Panda and Khariar MlA Duryodhan Majhi are also making hectic tours to different parts of the district to attend the meetings of cadres.
Three meetings, one each in every block of the Khariar Assembly constituency, were held on Monday. BJP district president Sibaprasad Mund, Zilla Krushak Morcha president Sanjay Tiwari and State executive member Jadumani Panigrahi attended all the meetings of the constituency along with Majhi and Panda. Sanjay Tiwari was given the responsibility of coordinator for the constituency to monitor election campaign.
