The Parlakhemundi police have started investigation into the Milan and Milan chit fund scam in the wake of investors lodging a complaint against the company.
According to sources, two investors Rubi Sabar and Sarojini Sabar of Parsurampur under Sitarmapur block in Gajapati district had invested money in two different plans of the company including a fixed deposit of `5,000 for five years and `200-per-month scheme for two years on September 29, 2012 and October 18, 2012, respectively.
Following police action against various fraudulent chit fund companies in the State, these two investors tried to contact the company officials but all efforts were in vain. Finding no other way out, they lodged the complaint at the Parlakhemundi police station.
