Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra on Saturday visited Puri and made a review of various developmental projects.

He first went to the Swargadwar and reviewed its improvement and beautification project. He told the media that an auditorium, a restaurant, drinking water and toilets have been constructed there.

Then, he toured the temple and made a field review regarding the progress of the Parikrama project. He directed the concerned officials to look into both the inner and outer circuit routes and complete the project within the next three months.

Mahapatra hoped that the beauty of the temple would increase after completion of the project and the devotees would spend a lot of time there.

He also reviewed the ring road work. He said that after completion of the multi-level parking of the Srisetu project, it would be convenient for the devotees to come and go to the temple through battery-powered vehicles.
