The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has appointed former Kendrapada MLA Utkal Keshari Parida as its coordinator for the elections to the Patkura Assembly constituency in Kendrapada district to be held on July 20.
Parida, who joined the BJD in April this year after resigning from the BJP, has been given the charge by BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik.
The BJD had on Thursday announced names of its 40 star campaigners, including Naveen Patnaik, for the Patkura polls.
